    Asset UPNP with network drives

I'm trying to use Asset with a mounted filesystem on a Dlink DNS-323. It doesn't seem to be able to scan the non-local drive (well from the Dlink anyhow) - am I doing something wrong or is this not possible? Or is it because it's from a DNS-323 ( ext2 filesystem presented to Windows via Samba)?

See the Asset help there is a section on passwords which need to be addressed.

Ah yes - dear old Windows and the local system account user. I created another user and all working. Many thanks!

I'm having this problem too, albeit the drive is not password protected, so the windows local id should have no problems. I have created a specific id and given it administrator rights, but this doesn't work either. The NAS is mounted using SMB, should I use NFS?

        Thanks,
        Mark

As per this thread http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=18805 if I disable the service and manually run Asset-uPNP.exe and uMediaLibrary.exe then it works and can access the NAS. I have disabled Windows Vista's firewall, and there is no other anti-virus software running. Asset can read local drives no problem..

SMB should be fine if you can browse the share from the Windows PC.
