    Artist and Sort Artist

Does Asset UPNP support Sort Artist (and AlbumSortOrder) tags?

e.g. my files store "David Bowie" in the Artist tag, but "Bowie, David" in the Sort Artist tag so Bowie albums are found under "B" and not "D".

I would like the client apps to see all Sort Artist grouped together.

    Hope this is clear?

      Hi Spoon,

I have looked around the forums and manual, but could not find an answer to these questions: which tags are currently supported by Asset? Will R2 have functionality to custom select tags (such as Mood, Grouping etc.)? I have a database filled with music that is split up in Grouping (general genre), Genre (with ; - seperated multiple genres) and Mood etc. It would be wonderful if I could use this with Asset and Sonos together. I'm thinking of bypassing the whole sonos search system when Asset has this functionality.

Any news on Sonos support BTW? Are they working with u now?

        You already can, see:

These are instructions for the Windows version. For Linux/Mac/QNAP, see below. Asset has the ability to display custom ID Tags (non-standard), with a little configuring. For example your FLAC library contains a unique tag of 'MOOD', you can add this to asset by: Start >> Run >> Regedit: Browse to:
