    Classic ID Tagging

In dbpoweramp r11 I could add record label information (publisher) details to id3 tags manually, why cant you do this by default - what I mean is is that the publisher is already there and all a user would have to do is add the the details when tagging.

btw - I am not reffering to ripping a CD here, I am refering to existing mp3/wma/flac audio on the computer that need tagging.

Also any slight update on the batch album art tagging feature in the right-click _that I enquired some time back

my precious creations - good ideas pics below

Has SPOON added the album art function in right click 'edit tag' Well I know I sound a nuisance by now for the persistent question, but the only thing is that I REALLY want to test it out in beta/allpha stage any update then sPOON, also can attributes be set for the album art, forgive my impatiant self_just making an

    thanks in advance

What exactly are you requesting? Default entries for r12's tag editing function, as there were in r11.5 and older?

        Re: Id Tagging - publisher

        1. Ok, will newer tag default entries in the right click tag (such as: record label aka sometimes publisher and also too copyright) be available in the months upcomming dmc r13

        2. batch tagging of album art upon highlighting files in windows explorer support - would this be of possibility/availability in the months to come dmc r13

        - I would love to know, please Spoon or any of the moderators I am dying for this firm support, thanks

Your changing the topic by referring back to the album art in edit tag support. Please keep on topic.

Sorry LT, on this topic then would there be any info on the record label (newer default entry) being added to the 'edit tag' of the program - yeah- I did go a bit off there with the additional request.

Any info on it making r13 beta

            thanks

              Re: Id Tagging - publisher

r13 beta is about 4-5 months off, last I heard. I believe Spoon is going to try to update dCW and Sveta and Aux Input before starting on r13, but I may be wrong about that.

As for default entries, that will be up to Spoon. Mabye a compromise between many defaults that are unused and no default entries is an option to select which tags you want to be default?

Also, regarding the batch album art, you may want to make a wishlist thread about it.

                Re: Id Tagging - publisher

I also would like the default tags back. It's very time consuming to first add the tagname manually and then add the tags.
I prefer Edit tag the way it was in 11.5 and older, so default tags for Artist/Title/Album/Year/Track/Genre & comment.

I also prefer the old-style tagging. Now I have to use AudioShell for it :-(

                    Re: Id Tagging - publisher

I would l just want these as default tags

                    Artist/Title/Album/Year/Track/Genre/Comment/Record Label/Composer/Copyright

basicall I like the default tags of r12 like rip tool and rip date, but just would like some additional ones highlighted which I have found on other programsd such as Helium Music Manager_

the ones I have highlighted in bold are for specific reasons and because I like to tag the record label sometimes tags as publisher, the copyright opne which I know Windows Media Player can read is for live audio I record in a studio.

While I like this idea, everyone has their own ideas of what they want for default tags. Therefore, I think something that allows users to pick WHICH tags they want as defaults would be a good idea.

That would be fantastic, I think the option should be during installtion or cane be done in program settings, including the newer tags I mentioned such as record label

I hope ole' Spoon is taking note of this.

dMC r12.2 is now in beta and has default tags! Try the beta below, again PowerPack only.

The beta still does not have the tags such as LABEL aka Publisher which denotes to the record label of the song, why doesn't it have this = that is what I mean, I also would like the choice to choose which tags as default

when will the next major release be out? - I will set a calendar
