wma to flac with art
I'm stuck. currently have all music files as wma lossless. Have tried to convert to flac which is ok but doesn't bring through the album art. Not clear about what I have to set to do this or even if it is supported. If anyone can help, would be appreciated.

Re: wma to flac with art
Thanks for the reply Spoon but don't understand what you mean. There are no .jpg files associated with the source folder ie my .wma files and there isn't a folder created with the conversion to flac. Are you saying I have not set the conversion up properly? Sorry, but this is all new to me. I have just got a Sonos music system so I am trying to get it set up to read my music and it doesn't support wma lossless.

Re: wma to flac with art
What Spoon is trying to find out is whether or not your individual wma files have the album art inside them or the album art is held as a separate file folder.jpg instead.
If you use dMC to view the audio properties of a wma file does it display the album art? |

Re: wma to flac with art
No if I go to the original wma there is no artwork displayed in the Audio properties dialog although I can see artwork displayed if I play it in windows media. Where does that leave me....stuffed ??

Re: wma to flac with art
WMP likely has a hidden artwork file in the same folder as the audio (switch explorer to show hidden files), the name cannot be guessed as is a guid.

Re: wma to flac with art
Explorer is set to show hidden files. There is nothing. Wayne seemed to be suggesting that they can be embedded as part of the wma - does that sound right ? I have only downloaded the trial verison of this app. Are there some features that would not be available to me for the conversion ? If I rip a cd to flac it's all fine and includes the folder.jpg as you suggested. I can't see anything in media player that suggests you can store album art in a different location which might affect using the conversion software. Got me stumped.
