Try upating the firmware of the plextor.

its at the latest version they offer on their site.

does your 708a work when you do the c2 detection? i have tried about 10 cd's and not one came up with it once.

Yes c2 works on my 708a, which windows version do you have? what is th communication set to when you click options.

If all tracks are inaccurate the ripper should say ? Different pressing, it is likely the cd is a different pressing.

The cache on the 708a will not be detected if FUA is checked (this is correct because FUA is removing the cache).

i've got windows xp professional and its on scsi passthrough should it not be?

it detects it with eac, is this a software issue or hardware?

im so troublesome...

just so you know, i have no idea what is causing this... but i have this sarah brightman cd and at one spot in one particular track it causes a stop error and i get the blue screen and i have to restart. i did just install this thing and its a fresh installation...

just tested with nero cdspeed and it found tons of c2 errors

so that checks out

i don't mean to be a nag but when you say soon do you mean weeks or do you mean its coming out in a day or so?

I don't quite understand this result. on the yo-yo ma plays ennio morricone cd i get all accuraterip results (2) except the last track

which is a accuraterip innacurate (2) but secure.

a pressing is for the whole cd right?

ps. this is the last track on the cd.

I just downloaded A5. Does the CLI works? It just does nothing. I end up with a *.ext file, but the command prompt window doesnt even opens.

If the last track is inaccurate on multiple CDs, its possible you CD drive has problems reading into the lead out.

Spoon already said his 708a gives c2 results correctly.
