Great software. Thanks. Newbie Question here. After ripping and transferrng many files to MMC, is trher a 'best" method to acccess Freebd and add info to the listing in MMC? OR any advice appreciated.
Thanks,
Ken
I am assuming that you have already added these files to MMC. If it can be easily done, I would advise that you remove them from MMC, update the tags and re-add them to MMC. There is this information available from your dBpowerAMP Musiic COnverter, Help files:
Delayed freedb Operation is a useful feature for those who have to pay for internet access, or can only periodically access the internet. With this option checked - rip a whole bunch of CDs as normal, not bothering about track or artist names. Then connect to the internet and click on freedb button (on main page) and all previously ripped tracks will be renamed and ID tag information set, all using one internet connection (rather than having to connect each time a CD is inserted). ** Do not use the option Add to MMC, or move the files until freedb is clicked **
For future reference, Freedb information is generally gathered as soon as you open a cd while online through Audio CD Input. This information is stored in a file. So it is actually more economical to find a time you can be online, open as many CDs as you like usinf Audio CD Input only going so far as to make sure that track information from Feedb shows up, and then oopening the next CD. (Do NOT rip at this time). Then at a more convenient time you can rip these CDs while you are off-line and the Freedb information will automatically be added to the tags.
Best wishes,

Files should be tagged correctly before adding to mmc.
