Where can i download the codec?
You will find the mp4 and AAC codecs at Codec Central here:
http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central-mp4.htm
dBpowerAMP Music Converter has a built-in Mpeg Audio Decoder (MAD) which should open the .mpg files for conversion.
If you run into problems, please let us know.

It can't convert to mp4. It says "Only Mp4 files can be converted."
Thats a problem. I downloaded ACC to Mp4.
You have one or more files that are .mpg files?
You have installed dBpowerAMP Music Converter?
I think you must have installed and be using the mp4>AAC/AAC>mp4 codec. That can convert an AAC file to mp4 or vice-versa (assuming you have both the AAC and mp4 codecs installed. The mp4>AAC/AAC>mp4 codec ONLY works with AAC and mp4 files. It will not work with .mpg files.
You need to convert the mpg files to either m4a or AAC.
