View Full Version : How Can I Adjust Base When Recording MP3's?

I've turned my entire CD collection into MP3's so I can record "Greatest Hits" CD's with various artists.

But the base level for music from the 70's & 80's is almost non-existent when compared to the base level of today's music.

Is there a quick & simple way of adjusting the base level of all MP3's as I am recording them to a blank CD?

Thanks for any help in advance.

You can run the DSP effect "Volume Normalization" to raise the volume of quiet tracks. Do a test run on some of your songs to figure out the correct percentage.
Note that this can only be done if you have either a registered version or an unexpired trial.

Among the other DSP effects available is an equalizer which can be used to boost bass frequencies-there is even at least 1 bass heavy preset. Be sure to check applying this effect on a few tracks to help make sure you have got it tuned to wheere you want it.
