Hi there,

I know you guys already have Explorer > View Detail media columns which are used to show tag information about a media file. Would it be possible to make these columns EDITABLE? This would be an extremelly sweet feature, as you could edit mp3 tags inline while using Windows Explorer, and not have to look at file property boxes or anything of the sort.

I've been looking for something online that would do this, and yours is the closest to what I'm looking for as it allows you to add NON-EDITABLE columns. EDITABLE columns however would be just that much sweeter.

Thanx Much,
John Pequeno

Those are the file attributes you're seeing and the id tag informaiton. You can edit the id tags for thos emedia files that have them separately and they will show up in the explorer columns according to some fashion.

You can also change information by right clikcking the file, selecting file attributes and then seeing which ones of the fields you can chage (id tag should be there too at least for Windows 2000 and XP).

More than that you're asking to modify Windows Explorer, quite outside the realm of dBpowerAMP's mandate.

Christina,

Yes, as a Computer Engineer, I understand your answer quite well, and you've answered my question. That is MS Windows XP does not offer hooks so that you can change the standard column input/output in the Explorer. Too bad, a? Wish we could mix the good of windows, with the good of Linux. Than we'd have a trully perfect OS.

Thanx Much,
