I Am running a windows xp machine and can not run the aux input. When I try to use the aux input to record a MP3 it gives me the Error "CODEC required to encode file temp1.mp3 can not be opened". The codec works fine when I use the other sections of the converter. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, And upgrading to version 11 and still have the same error in the aux input. My system is an AMD 3000+ W/ 1GB OR RAM, A SOUND BLASTER AUDIGY 2 ZS sound card, and A Nvidia geforce FX5700le vid card, running Windows XP Home SP2. Please help.

Have you tried recording to any other formats, for example wav?

When you recorded to wav what format did it produce? Was it 24bit?

Could you convert the created wav to MP3?

What settings are you trying to use to create your MP3 files.

Included LAME Codec, 192kbps, Stereo, and 44100 or 48000 Sample rate. These are the same settings I use when converting exiting files or CD's. Which work Beautifly on all but the aux input.
