Why Spectrum Bars Count is limited ?

I have a small problem in the Skin Designer Spectrum Bars property one can choose only 10, 20 or 256, but in my skin 20 is too small and 256 is too large, has you a solution ?

It is just how it was done, I can see your point, but not much that can be done really.
