Pulsing Display

Somtimes when a new song begins, the spectrum display just pulses (it does not track along with the sound). It pulses in either spectrum or scope mode. Occasionally if I pause the player it goes into the pulsing mode once I start playing again and on-and-off pausing does not correct the situation. (note: the pulses do seem to be 'gain' dependent - that is, soft songs pulse low, loud songs pulse high)
I must stop the player and restart it for the display to act normally.

I get that problem once in a while too. The spectrum display seems to analyse the audio only every 1-2 seconds instead of continually.

I have no idea what causes it, and I can't reproduce it. It seems to happen at random and it doesn't happen on the same songs. Usually, changing song clears it for me, but sometimes I have to shut down Amp and restart it.
