Converting problem..

When I try to convert .m4p to .mp3 it states that there is some type of decopression error. What can I do/ What am I doing wrong?

I'm having a similar issue. I upgraded to iTunes 4.5 and now when I try to convert to mp3 it finishes in a second and gives me a 2 KB file... maybe its the upgrade or maybe the codec needs to be updated ...any ideas....?
