I downloaded db PowerAMP onto a friend's computer. At first, the skin of dBPowerAMP appeared on the desktop every time he started up.

Lately, the following message appears on his desktop every time he powers on:

"Windows is searching for Amp.exe. To locate the file yourself, click Browse."

A Browse and a Cancel button are on the bottom of the dialog box.

My friend does not want either the player or the shortcut message to appear when starts up. He wants to access dB PowerAMP from the Start button, nowhere else.

What do I do?

Try Start>All Programs>dBpower AMP>Configuration>Install Options. Uncheck "Load dBpowerAMP When Windows Starts".
That should take care of the problem. If not, let us know and we'll see if we have another better idea.

REinstall dBpowerAMP Audio Player and uninstall it through Start >> Settings >> Control Panel >> Add / Remove Programs

Don't delete the dbpoweramp folder, it will lead to this error.
