    tags&standards

I'm really not sure where to put this, cause it's a half question/request
I'm not sure what tags db uses for %year% in ripper field, is it recording or release year, i know when i used to rip with eac it has release year string.
Is it possible that db could use both recording/release, and maybe publisher field?
I saw that when converting it uses ANSI format with id3v1&id3v2.3, is it maybe possible to use Unicode utf-16 too?
I know, there are a lot of mess between various tag&player standards/support, for eg. when foobar accidentally wrote id3v2.4 tags i couldn't see some other tags with db pop-up info etc etc.

    tnx

All databases (online) only use Release Year.

You can switch to unicode for ID3v2.3

ok, but online databases are sometimes wrong and put recording year instead,
but as i think of it, only one year field is in flac standard, so another will have to be in vorbis comments, not sure about that.

btw does current version reads id3v2.4, showed in popup info?

        No, dMC r12 doesn't read ID3v2.4 tags.
