How do I capture music from video?

I am not very experienced using dBpower AMP. Have only used it to convert .midi files to .wav files. I came across a video on the web that has music that I would like to capture. Is this possible? Is this legal? I have no idea the name of the music or who the music is by - have searched all over the web to try and find it but to no avail. Can I capture it using dBpower AMP? If so, how do I go about it?

Get VirtualDub and you can save the audio as a WAV file from it: http://www.virtualdub.org/

As for legality, if the audio is copyrighted, its not legal.
