sound doesn't work

go through all the steps and then can't get the sound to work. What's my problem?

A little vague - which program, which steps?

DBpower AMP music Converter and dmc auxilliary input.
I followed all the instructions but when it came to the wave lengths, it just showed flat lines.
I had tried other programs-Roxio & Nero with the same results.
How do I get the sound? My other music cds work and the sample MP3's work ok. Am I missing something in the setup?
I Have Win xp.

Your computer must be recording from the wrong part, in Aux input >> Options >> Select Input Source
