View Full Version : Any ideas about "random"

Last month I cleared and rebuilt my mp3 collection.
5000+ tunes. I have been playing in Random mode.
So far about 1000 different songs have played, but 160 have already played twice and a handful are up to 3 or 4 times played.
I realized random does not mean play until all are played - I expect some repeats, it just seems like a high percentage for "Random."

Anyone know if there are plans for a "Play once until exhausted" feature in the next version?

Thanks,
Q

See here for an explanation of Random: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=2027&highlight=random+play

If you want to play your entire collection, why not enqueue it all and then randomize the queue?

I have created queues and then randomized them and that works fine. But if I rip a new disc or download some songs I cannot enque them into the mix. Still it is no biggie.

You should be able to add the files to the queue and then re-randomize it.
