I have done some brief prelimary testing, they seem to work fine and dandy. Thanking you Spoon, as this will soon get heavy usage when I have to start compressing my FLAC collection, so it stays on my 60gb rockbox'd iPod. Heh.
One quick question though, does Lancer variant (ie the SSE2) have any differences in encoding quality? The speed increase is pretty phenomenal on my Athlon 64 FX-53 from 13x encoding with the regular aoTuV to 28x with Lancer and the filesize outputted is exactly the same. So is that affecting my files?
I doubt it... as I can't seem to hear an Audible difference (although I will admit this is with limited none-abx testing). Just thought I would raise the question.

I don't believe the files are any different, the encoder is just optimized for SSE2 and therefore encodes faster on SSE2-aware CPUs.
After uninstalling the standard ogg encoder and the previous b4 sse2 version via control center -> add/remove software both current versions from today were reinstalled. But the dMC configuration still shows the old version "Ogg Vorbis aoTuV b4 SSE2 ... Ogg V1.1.1 (lancer20050709)".
Whats wrong?

My dMC Configuration shows the correct version. Also, you do still have the standard Ogg Encoder installed, correct? Because you HAVE to have the Ogg Vorbis 1.1 standard codec installed in order for the tags to be written to your encoded .ogg files.
Also, you can manually correct the version numbering yourself by going to the dMC Installation folder (by default C:\Program Files\Illustrate\dBpowerAMP) then going into Versions --> Compression and the "Ogg Vorbis aoTuV b4 SSE2" and putting this string in there: Ogg V1.1.1 (lancer 20060303)
Even after a second uninstall/install they're wrong.

Spoon may have not updated the file. I'll give him the message.
Until then, can you use the links at the top of this thread?
Ok, thanks for your response.
Thought it is the new released version as you can see at the version tag "Version Using aoTuV B4.51" in the codec central.

Right, but he may have not copied the files from the /beta folder to the /codecs folder.

The correct filesize for dBpowerAMP-OggVorbis-aoTuV-SSE2.exe is 571733 bytes.
\dbpoweramp\versions\Compression\Ogg Vorbis aoTuV b4 SSE2.txt should be after install:
Ogg V1.1.1 (lancer 20060303). I have just checked both servers and they have the right files.
Seems to be a browser caching problem here. Got it now, correct version.

Glad you solved it. Thread locked. Please put all further conversation in the dMC Support section of this forum as this codec is no longer beta.
