Here i strange thing[well for me].

If i set 'rip to RAM',i get rip slower than without.

-to wave WITH rip to RAM====12'34"

Times for one cd,but i tested with 10 cds.The same results concerning no rip to RAM faster

That is wierd, try Support >> Audio CD Input

there is a special VXD driver you can download for Windows Me, after it is installed, set CD input to use it, then try rip to ram again.

      And now,a new problem....

I have drive G: cd writter
      H: DVD-R

      I do not know why.

When i run NeroDriveSpeed, the program gives me the speed of the CDwritter [x8] when testing the DVDR drive

And speed of the DVDR for the CDwritter[x32]
I have an old x4\x12 HP CDW.

If i change letters of drives-DVD-rR at G:
      and CDW at H:

      i get the same problem

Here is why i post to get help.

I use Media Jukebox ,the registered version.

Very good program. But as you know riping to mp3Lame is not fast.

Only today i toke notice of the 'rip to RAM' in the power pack.
Media Jukebox does not have this option.

If testing DB give me faster rip,you can say you will sell a power plus pack on the spot.

For now i rip to APE and after i convert to mp3 ,overnight or when away

Concerning Power pack registered: it is a key?If not with unlimited 're-downloads'?

I just make clean install very often, cause of all the tweaks, tricks i try to set Windows.Very average user =reformat is the only solution to me many times...................

        Not sure about your drives.

The Power Pack is a special install, you are entitled to updates as much as you want.

Heres one thing I'd suggest to you... Install Windows XP... With a system with as much resources as you have you will absolutely drool at how much faster it is... take my word for it.

I plan to install 2000-i have the disc since few months

Concerning XP: not sure to like the even more integrated Windows programs ,none the lurking music security fonction

The other problem is that i have quite a lot of registered programs working up to Windows 2000.

Do not feel like spend $$$$$$$$$$$$ on upgrades
