    WMA 5.1 channel

    Hello,

    when I try to convert any mp3 to Wma 198kb/s 5.1 channel 48khz:The CODEC required to compress 'C:\Converted Music\ - Njezno njeznije.wma' could not be opened.

    What is the problem I own SB live 5.1, thath accours ewen with Auxilary input.

    For wma 5.1 the input (ie mp3, or aux input) has to be 6 channels, well mp3 cannot have 6 channels and I am doubting your sound card can record 6 channels. You are best sticking with the 2 channels (or if want professional go for 24 bit 2 channel).

        S/PDIF brings in the audio already mixed. If you want to preserve original separate tracks you have to bring in the tracks separately, into a multi-track recording program like Voyetra's Record Producer or Cubase or Pro-Tools, one at a time, from your external source.

        Unless I really don't understand what you're asking :p
