    converting real audio stream

I have read through various postings on real audio converting and am unable to get the conversion to work. I get a 44 byte wav file when the audio is played to completion.

    real audio 10 (free player)
    dbAmp Converter v4.2.1.0
    dbAmp real audio codec.

    I understand about meta files.

Does the converter only deal with local files or files that can be downloaded via http/ftp?

the contents of the ram file is
    rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio3/classical/pizarro/sonata01.rm

Thanks in advance for you time and patients

The actual real media file you have there is on a special streaming server, as indicated by the rtsp:// protocol (as opposed to a regular server which would have used the http:// protocol), so you cannot download it and thus cannot convert it using dMC alone. You'll need to use dMC Auxiliary Input to capture the file.

Please refer to the FAQ section http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=5362 for how to use this.
