Ripping to DSD and loud clicks when tracks selected for playing.

I have DSD tracks that have been converted from a CD. When I play them through software and USB to my DAC there is loud click when first track plays or when I manually select a track from a list. There is no click apart from the first if the software plays through tracks automatically. Some software clicks others do not.

Any idea, I am concerned about my speakers.

DSD 512 and then again DSD 256.

Both the Matrix S and my SMSL SU-10 Dac are capable of handling both natively. Local drive attached to the Element S which connects to the DAC with I2S.

I don't think that the problem is necessarily a hardware problem with the Element S, however there is a setting in the Element S "Gapless" with a warning that the setting in DSD might mean that there is no autoplay of successive tracks. I found that to be the case.
