FLAC Compression Changed for the worse

I can't explain why this is happening, but I'm unable to achieve the same level of compression on the exact same WAV file from a week ago.

    - I upgraded (and downgraded back) to 16.6, back to 16.5 and that didn't help.
    - I did add some CODECs for DSD but nothing related to FLAC.

Same settings on right-click-convert to-FLAC Level 8 (highest) for the same WAV file that I made a week ago vs yesterday:

    Any ideas/explanations?

I'm still in the process of converting my own discs to WAV to FLAC and it's going to be a huge waste of storage space if I can't figure this out.

    If you visit here:

and install Calculate Audio CRC and convert both those flac files to this encoder, the resulting CRC values shown are the same for both flac files?

No, the values are different although they decoded to the exact same size (137,987 KB):

      CRC32 Filename

      BB1567A5 F:\Video\Snakes And Arrows\01 Far Cry_16.5.wav
      5AF00AF8 F:\Video\Snakes And Arrows\01 Far Cry_16.6.wav

I'm going to re-rip the same track to a WAV and see what it's CRC value is.

The checksums don't match but they decoded to the exact same size.

I'm re-ripping and going to compare again.

        Thank you for responding.
