Adding custom API to RaspberryPi menu tree

I have a RaspberryPi3 with an AudioInjector sound card HAT which has analogue stereo input and output channels.
My task is to stream the analogue input direct to devices on the Pi's network.
To do so I believe I need to add a call to a custom streamer API (named RPiAPI, as yet unwritten) to the RaspberryPi Asset menu tree ala WindowsAssetUPnP>>Additional>>PC Sound Capture [WASAPI].
How do I add such a call ?

I'm aware WASAPI is Windows only.

    Perhaps my question was unclear.
How do I add an ALSA driver call to the Pi's Asset menu tree to enable network streaming of the Pi's real-time analogue input ?

You could not add it, we would have to add it to Asset through coding.
