Latest 16 R3 is freezing loading CDs

I have two drives in my desktop and 16 R3 freezes no matter what drive I use.

Can you play the CD from any other software on you device? What platform/OS do you have?

In CD Ripper, exactly what happens when you insert a CD i.e. any error message?
