But it was interesting to hear of such a specific use for this exclusive tag, thanks.
As you are aware, I have much tagging on my hands at the moment with my own scheme; and so I am quite grateful to hear that this particular one is not essential.

There is a thread involving someone using an on-air automation system for a radio station in which the OP asks about UPCs. I imagine they would be used in determining who gets royalties for the airplay.
Paul, you haven't mentioned anything about running a radio station, so I'll go out on a limb and say you have no need at all for the UPC tag. It's no problem if you want to add it anyway, but it seems to me that in your situation it would be nothing more than tag spam. And who needs more spam?
