      The file is not tagged correctly, internally the tag is stored as:

      Style=MQ; Lossless

      I took the file, right click >> Edit ID tags >> removed the Style tag, clicked ok. Then right click >> edit id tags, added a Style tag, and set the value to 'MQ; Lossless', and internally it is written as:

      Style=MQ
      Style=Lossless

        So, the only way to set multi-value tag values is to use the Edit ID-Tag context menu option only and not the ID Tag Update utility codec?

          I do not think ID Tag update would do this no.

            Thanks for identifying the problem.......is this a limitation with the ID Tag Update utility or is something you could incorporate into a future release?

            Or do you have any other ideas how I can automate the tag update on a large collection of albums, the batch convertor would have been ideal for this!

              ID Tag Update preserves the fields as far as multiple assignments are concerned.

              If you install PerfectTUNES, it can do this by changing one item as it lists all tags by a single type, it is a very powerful program...change them to MQ1; Lossless1 then MQ; Lossless

                I can see how I get PerfectTUNES to read all the files in a directory but how do you go about automating the changing of the tags from there? Sorry not used the ID side of this program before

                  Worked it out

                  It works well with PerfectTUNES on both FLAC and WAV files. Thanks for getting to the bottom of it.

                  Looks like I've got a new solution for tagging and a bit of work to do!

                    To clarify you would go ID Tags >> Lists and Recommendations >> select Styles

                    then you can change every single file with this style set in one action.
