won't recognize my cd-r

hey there, i have used dbmusic amp in the past with no probs and love it, however since cleaning my harddrive and reinstalling, it won't recognize my cd rom...when i boot the program up, it says "insert audio cd..." and then i go to "options" and look under the path and there are no cd-roms to choose from...how come and how do i rectify this problem?

You are probably using Windows 95, 98 or Me, and your ASPI layer probably needs reinstalling.
