Tagging songs in FLAC v. ALAC

Hello, new to the forum. I have been experimenting using FLAC v. ALAC using the dbpoweramp cd ripper defaults to my WD Book Live and then accessing them through the built in Twonky Media Server v5.1.9. What I have found is that if I rip the CDs and tag them in the FLAC format, I can access the Twonky Media folders and everything is in the correct categories (Album, Artist, etc..). However when I rip the CDs and tag them using the ALAC format, all of the Albums, Artists, etc.. are in the "Unknown" category. I looked at the individual files in Windows explorer and they all appear to be tagged correctly. Is there some attribute in the tag that might be missing in order to work correctly like the FLAC tags do?

    Thanks,

    Z

It is likely that Twonky cannot read tags from a m4a (ALAC) file.

Thanks Spoon. You were right, I tried another version of Twonky (7.2.6-1) on another NAS I have using the same ripped files and they work perfectly. I will see if I can find a way to upgrade the Twonky Server in the My Book Live as WD has no upgrade available on their website.
