Music Converter can't 'see' M4A files

    Hi Spoon.
I recently updated to 15.1. I didn't know about the 32-bit vs 64-bit etc... So I have installed once, then realized I was in a bit of a mess, then removed both, now re-installed.

I go to use Music Converter, and:
    1) I don't see M4A listed as a file type that 15.1 can decode. (not in list of Read Decoders under Codecs)
    2) I read the Help, and it says M4A Decoder is built-in to 15.1.
Quote: Decoder dBpoweramp comes with a m4a decoder as standard, able to decode Apple Lossless and every AAC type (excluding iTunes m4p protected).

When I point Music Converter at my source lib containing M4A lossless source, it sees nothing. When I point to other folders with other extensions, it DOES see them.

    Any ideas ?

    Thanks.

Re: Music Converter can't 'see' M4A files

OK, never mind, figured it out eventually.

I had to remove everything, really everything related to Illustrate, Asset, dBpoweramp. Then use the clean up tool exe. And then re-install to a directory different than the 32-bit directory it was installed to before. I can now see the M4A extension in the Decoder list, and I can see the files in the source folders.

It looks like I need to re-create my ripping templates, but I had that documented so should be OK.
