I ran the batch converter for files from my external hard drive. After the conversion was complete, I went to locate files on the hard drive and they are gone. I cannot figure out where they went...can you help me...I am freaked out
thanks

Can I ask why you converted from mp3 to mp3?
Which settings did you use? any DSP effects? which lame settings?

Dbpoweramp can batch process ALL your &*8220;bad frame&*8221; files at once and works very well. You can select all folders/files and use the convert feature &*8211; choose mp3 (LAME encoder) I set it to CBR 320 for best quality and then choose to Convert &*8211; It will ask you if you if you want to overwrite the existing mp3s in the same folder (I hit yes, as I don&*8217;t want it to duplicate the files &*8211; just replace them). It will then start batch processing all the files/folders. I put together this quick video to demonstrate the above so it should be crystal clear on how to use this: http://youtu.be/uD4VOLISsZs
No DSP effects.
Try and do the conversion again, use Batch Converter, see if it lists the files.
