Converting ID Tags of complete collection

    Hi

I riped most of my CD's with dBPoweramp to FLAC and MP3 using ID3 Tags V1.1 & V2.4 and RGGain.
I now found that my NAS (fritzbox) does not really work with v2.4 nor does my W7 PC.

Is there a way I can convert/copy the complete MP3 folder with all in it from V2.4 to V2.3 (where applicable), and maybe apply RG Gain at the same time?

    Thanks
    McL

Yes, in dbpoweramp configuration >> codecs >> advanced

    set mp3 tags to v2.3

Then install the ID Tag Update utility codec, use batch ripper, filter to just mp3, select your music folder and convert all the files to this ID Tag Update encoder, it will simply rewrite the id tags, test on a few files first.

        Some additional questions:
        - Did dBPoweramp add some v2.4 tags upon riping that now get lost when converting to v2.3? How does it handle this? What get's lost?
        - Is it advised to not use utf-8 with v2.3?
        - Any suggestion for the settings MP3 ID Tagging settings in Codec Advanced configuration?

All tags should be supported, some are stored in different locations between the 2 versions.

Unicode 16 is best for 2.3

          The default values.
