Re: db error message: "Unable to write ID tags for..."
Then it is a permissions issue on your other drive, your user account will not have security rights to write to the files.Comment

What security software do you have? something might be limiting dBpoweramp from writing to files.Comment

Re: db error message: "Unable to write ID tags for..."
it always worked fine with earlier versions of eset but sure enough I disabled protection and was able to edit the tags....eset says my only option is to exclude dbp from protection....Comment

Re: db error message: "Unable to write ID tags for..."
or I guess I have to exclude the external drive and music folders from protection? seems odd I can move a flac file to the C drive, which uses the same security, and it works fine...Comment

Re: db error message: "Unable to write ID tags for..."
arrrrrgh! even after excluding db and the entire M drive from eset i am again unable to edit the files. adjusted permissions so that everything was permitted. 2tb M drive took an hour to update permissions but still cant edit the tags...this is probably not a db issue and something in my system but posting here in hopes someone may have experienced this and can offer suggestions. thanx, MComment
