    PerfectTunes Rules

After keeping an eye on the new PerfecTunes software release, it appears that music libraries need to conform to a set of rules in order to work efficiently with PerfectTunes and get better results, i.e. certain tags need to be present including artist, album, disc no. etc.

    Can you list these rules/requirements?

For AccurateRip albums need to be in separate folders, or have an album tag.

For album art you need artist and album tags.

Dedup can run with files with no tags.

In the case of 2 (albums) on 1 (CD) CDs, e.g. The Beach Boys - Smiley Smile / Wild Honey (all tracks ripped to the same folder), if I use the Album Matching Grouped by Folder option, but the album tags are different (i.e. Smiley Smile or Wild Honey), PerfectTUNES will report the CD as Inaccurate/Incomplete?

Incomplete, the album name has to be constant.

The track number and track total tags impact on the result also?
