Cannot convert from M4A

I am trying to convert some M4A files to another format, but I receive an error message: Error. Unable to load codec for file type M4A, codec not installed? The error occurs no matter which format I try to convert to. I'm using version 13.5.0.2.

R14 is required for the m4a encoder which is included as standard.
