    Convert ALAC, but not AAC

    Hi

I'd like to convert a TB of M4A files to FLAC. Some M4As are ALAC, some AAC. I want to convert only the ALAC to FLAC, not the AAC. Is there any way to select the entire group of files and tell dbpoweramp to batch convert only the ALAC files, or do I need to go through thousands of folders to determine which M4As are ALAC vs. AAC and manually separate them first?

    Thanks!

Batch Converter >> Check your root folder >> List >> right click on the Size column header >> Extended Properties: check Encoder

wait for all the metadata to load (it says at top when finished reading metadata), then click on Encoder to sort by encoder. Select the top of the ones you do not want, hold shift key and click the bottom item (selecting all of them) then click one of the check marks to remove for that encoder type.
