Album Sort Tag not populating

Hi,
I'm using the lastest version of dbpa (14.4) and I've enabled a number of the additional tags in the Meta Data & ID Tag Options section including;

Artist Sort
Album Artist Sort
Album Sort

Artist Sort and Album Artist Sort tags appear to be fine, but the Album Sort tag isn't present when I rip to FLAC or mp3.
Is this expected behavior - i.e. if a value isn't present in the perfect meta data will it not create the field?
If so, how can I add it to the meta data before ripping as I can't see the field when checking that data via Alt-M?

It is expected as none of the metadata providers provide this value.

You would edit it with the meta tab (middle bottom of main ripping screen).
