Hanging when scanning library

Hi,

I have installed Asset UPnP on Windows 7 VM and the program runs fine and after changing the details for the service to run as a user that has permissions to my Windows 2012 server, it works fine but only up to 2160 tracks of 3026. If i run Asset in Local Account mode i get an error saying that uMediaLibrary has stopped working when it gets to 2160 and if running as Service account then it just hangs at the same figure.

Any idea's?

It is likely a corrupted track which is causing the crash, if you enable the debug mode for asset then view the log you should discover which file it is, we would be interested in getting this file.

Seleceted debug in options and then it went through and scanned everything?

Where is the Log file?

There is a button next to the option to enable the debug, to view the log, it would have to crash to tell you which file it was processing (or the one before)

Odd, as soon as I enabled logging, it completed the scan but only scanned and reported on 3024 files?

Prior to this I restarted the machine about 5 or 6 times on both Service and Localk Account mode?

The missing files are likely to the ones causing the issues, if you look in:

C:\Program Files\Illustrate\dBpoweramp

of

C:\Program Files (x86)\Illustrate\dBpoweramp

is a program called:

uMediaLibrary-dumpdb.exe

run this, save the text file and load into excel (or similar) it will list the files near the bottom, the missing 2 files will be the ones with issues.

Looks like a duplicated file issue?

The filenames are different...so they must exist on your system.

Dear Spoon, you seem to be the man that knows it all!!
I have exactly the same issue in a slightly different setting.
I'm using happily Asset for a while on my main PC, Great stuff!! But I recently installed Asset on my home server running WHS 2011. It starts scanning and stops at 75120 of 106886 tracks. Over and over again.
I did run the "uMediaLibrary-dumpdb" mentioned in this thread, but that just shows an empty page in notepad.
Any thoughts how to proceed?

Enable the debug mode in the confinguration, when it stops indexing, view the log.
