    Alternatives

    Hi

I have had great success with DB Poweramp and the flacs sound excellent.
SOme tracks will not rip and say re rip and give a frame number of 6500 ( for example )

If I turn off securerip to do the odd tracks - it takes rips at .04 % when the CD is x24 max

WHat should I be doing in this instance ?

I`ve been skipping more and more tracks...I don`t want to have to do this again !

    ANy ideas ?

    Cheers

    Ray

It is your CD drive which self slows, different drives do different things (some drives will drop to a speed of around 2x slowest and return data, even with errors interpolated).

I would strongly advise having a second CD/DVD drive at your disposal. If one drive refuses to rip a track, the other drive most likely will.

        Hi

Thanks for your replies. I did buy another drive as I wanted to rip more than one at a time -
Its a Teac but DB Ripper just hangs

What should I look out for when buying a new / External CD drive ?

        Thanks
