    MP3 with ID3v1, ID3v2.3 and APEv2

    My MP3s contain ID3v1, ID3v2.3 and APEv2 tags.

When I run the [ID Tag Update] Utility Codec (update the artwork only) on these files I lose the APEv2 tags.

How do I configure dBpoweramp, so I do not lose these tags? TIA

    R14.3 or R14.4?

Further to the original post, I am also losing the ID3v1 tags.

This is how update ID tag works, it clears the existing tags totally then rewrites to the type as set in the dB Config >> Codecs >> Advanced

if only ID3v2 is set, then only that is written.

OK, ID Tag Update is a bit of a misnomer then. Anyway, there is no option in dB Config >> Codecs >> Advanced for ID3v1, ID3v2.3 and APEv2.

What I am trying to do is manipulate the artwork only. Maybe we could have a new artwork only utility codec based on the artwork funtions in ID Tag Update leaving all other tags intact?

dB Config >> Codecs >> Advanced Options >> mp3 ID Tagging >> Tag Creation

We have never allowed our programs to tag ID3v2 and APE at the same time, really speaking, APE should no longer be used for mp3 files.
