    AccurateRip Online Submission

Can someone explain how the online submission of ripped info inside CD Ripper works? Who is is submitted to? How does it work? Is it basically the more times a CD is ripped and submitted the more "trusted and accurate" it becomes?

How does it affect the submission of data if you make changes to it (and that data is different than what is found in AccurateRip) like changing the genre or cleaning up the text on a track name.

Also it says something like submissions should be made no sooner than 30 or 60 days. What does this mean and why is that a reccommendation?

    Thanks.

filenames or genres do not effect accuraterip, it is based on audio data.

The results are submitted directly to accuraterip.com, there is no point in submitting sooner than 30 days, as the database is rebuilt once a month.

Multiple same submissions give a greater confidence, however really only a single confidence match is required to be sure of an accuraterip.

because keep in mind that even a single confidence match is telling you that some other person, with a different physical disk, ripping that disk on a different computer with a different drive got the EXACT same audio fingerprint as you from your rip!
