dbpoweramp replaces chosen art size with something tiny

I have set the maximum art size in the meta data options to 500x500. I have scanned in cover art for numerous albums at a resolution a little higher than that producing files of about 300kB in size. With the appropriate CD loaded into dbpoweramp I then add the new art (using the '+' near the bottom right) and select my scanned art. This is then shown in the bottom right of dbpoweramp with the size label next to it as expected (usually 500x500). All seems good so far. However, after ripping the album's folder as seen in Windows explorer has alongside the ripped tracks a file folder.jpg which is usually only about 16kB in size containing a tiny image and my 500x500 image does not seem to be there anywhere.

I should be very grateful if someone can tell me what I am doing wrong.

    Thank you

    Nigel

Press [-] before pressing [+] as you have to remove the existing one from CD Ripper, otherwise you are adding a 2nd image and only image 1 writes the folder.jpg
