    Multi-Encoder vs Single Encoder x 3

I was comparing the product of FLAC, MP3, and ALAC files ripped from dBpoweramp CD Ripper using the multi encoder and ripping them singly. Comparing the files using Win Merge, FLAC was identical however both MP3 and ALAC were different with ALAC having minor differences (possible ID info) and MP3 were very different.

What would cause the files to be processed (encoded) differently when using the multi encoder?

    Thanks,

    Michael

    Discovered:
Removal of ID tag for ALAC resulted in identical files, not sure what was different but encoding matched.

Discovered my profiles did not match for MP3 (192 v 224). After correcting, files were identical.

hydrogenaudio forum post led me to process test.

Is there a reason why you would have different results (under any option or config settings) if all settings remain constant?

Tag values can be reordered in some instances.
