    dbPowerAmp question

    Hi,

I'm looking to rip all my CDs into .wav for storage. In the future (when I get time!), I'll be building a music player program that will read my cd info (meta data) from a database and feed that to the interface.

My question is does dbPoweramp have the ability to get all this information from the cd so I can use it in a database?

CD Ripper reads the metadata for CDs from the internet.

So...when it gets that info, does it attach it to the .wav file?

Yes, metadata is attached to the file, however .wav is very, very, very limited as to metadata. When tagging support is important, you should rip to a lossless compression format.

Like .flac? I'm thinking that if I do that, I won't be able to play it as easily as I would with the more acceptable .wav format.
