    'from [computer name] [*blooper*]'

... I tried searching the forums for this problem, haven't found anything.

    I'm running Win7, 32 bit.

When ripping to Mp3 Lame from a CD, I end up with:

    01 - Catapult (from Dnawot1-laptop).mp3

    or

    09 - Another Horsedreamer's Blues (from Dnawot1-laptop - 6).mp3

Also, there are occasional duplicate entries that do not have the computer name addition, but are also unplayable. I can't figure out how to avoid this... any suggestions?

I popped in a 2nd CD to see if the same thing happens, and sure enough, yes it does.

      R14.1, btw.

        File nameing is:

        [artist]\[album]\[track] - [title]

When I'm setting File Naming and check 'Current CD Meta', the example displays correctly. I only see the unwanted artifacts after ripping.

Right click on the length column header and enable the filename display item, which filename is it showing for a given track?

It displays what I would like/expect it to display based on my naming convention. So everything still seems ok prior to hitting the rip button.

              I'll try another CD...

OK, I believe I figured out my problem...

I was ripping to my 'Music' directory, but the thing is, I make use of Win7's symbolic links. While 'Music' is still within the User folder, it's location is actually on the D: drive.

When I changed the target for the ripped files to my C:\, everything ripped beautifully. No amendments, no copies of files.
