Library Contains 0 tracks nnnn Albums

My Asset UPnP ver 3 recently started showing 0 tracks an 1589 albums after working fine; my Onkyo receiver shows "no item" when I drill down into any category (e.g., album, artists, genre). I've rescanned the library several time with Refresh All. Each time it counts all the tracks, but when it finishes, it reports zero tracks but all the albums.

The music files are on a USB-connected drive. I originally pointed to the files using a share with a drive letter. This morning I reinstalled Asset and pointed to the files with the UNC address -- same result. I'm running Asset as a local account on a Vista PC. Any thoughts?

Try pointing Asset to some local files on your PC (in your music folder), it could be a permissions issue.

I deleted the prior audio library settings and pointed to the music folder on the local c: drive. Same result: 0 tracks, 53 albums.

        In C:\Program Files\Illustrate\dbpoweramp

        is uMediaLibrary-dumpdb

Run it and the database is dumped to a text file, does it show any entries?

Yes, the text file has entries: the t_artist section seems to have the artists on my local drive only. Similarly, the t_album section has only albums on the local drive; all album track counts = 0. The filename secton lists full library on the USB drive, two times (once using the UNC reference the other using the share drive letter), as well as the files on my local drive.

This old thread describes exactly the same problem as I have on my trial copy of Asset UPnP. Running uMediaLibrary-dumpdb shows all my music files but the Asset UPnP configuration status is 'Library Contains 0 Tracks, 31 Albums'.

              How do I fix this?

You are able to browse tracks? using a control point?

I have not yet purchased a player for my computer-based music but I guess that MediaMonkey, which I have installed on my PC, is acting as a control point. It can see that I have Asset UPnP installed as a media server. It also displays the non-standard browsing tree I have defined in Asset UPnP but it cannot find any music files to play. This seems to match Asset UPnP's own status of zero tracks.

I also tried loading Asset UPnP as a media library in JRiver Media Center 18 and got the message 'There was a problem retrieving files from the selected DLNA server. Please ensure that the server you are connected to supports search, and that it is running properly'.

Try to uninstall Asset, reboot computer, then re-install.

I have just done that, but it made no difference. After refreshing the Asset UPnP library, it currently shows "0 Tracks, 46 Albums".

As everything appeared to work correctly after my initial installation of Asset UPnP, I can only assume that the uninstall did not delete all the relevant files. Any suggestions on how to fix that?

What audio type is your music?

Where are the audio tracks stored, in the Music folder on you PC?

I am ripping to the FLAC format. All the files are stored on my PC.
