    Album Art work

    Hi,

I'm new to this game, and I can't seem to get any Album Artwork although I have downloaded it from iTunes, refreshed and restarted.

Artwork does not display in Kinsky Desktop, nor Konductor.

    Thanks

    Andy

What format (mp3, m4a) are your audio files?

It is likely that iTunes has not embedded the art work in the files, so any program external to iTunes cannot get at the artwork.

So how do I get it to work, or is this a limitation of ALAC files?

Limitation of iTunes, ALAC can contain album art (dBpoweramp will create ALAC files with album art when ripping). It is just Apple being Apple, locking you into their programs.

              Hi Spoon,

FYI I found this on the web:

'One of the backend changes that came with the release of iTunes 7 is how the app stores album artwork. The days of embedding album artwork in music files are gone, due in part (I assume) to the purchase and integration of CoverFlow, a flashy new way to browse your albums'

This basically means that you can't use Asset to stream artwork from imported iTunes libraries any more.

              Cheers

              Andy
