    AccurateRip Config

I'm new to this app, and have a simple question...

Reading the "CD Ripper: Setup Guide" it discusses the configuration of AccurateRip. But no where is it mentioned how the user finds this configuration utility.

I know it sounds dumb, but I can't find the dialog that starts this process.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help point me in the right direction.

It will popup automatically when a disc is inserted.

Thanks for the response, but that didn't occur. I've test-ripped a few discs, and I've yet to see that config window for AccurateRip.

      FWIW; I'm running on a Win7 64-bit platform.

Any way to invoke that config utility?

Perhaps it has already configured the offset? perhaps in EAC previously?

          Re: AccurateRip Config

Good thought, but this is a fairly new PC on which I had done zero ripping of any sort until loading dbpoweramp the other day.

Is there no way to call this up? Seems odd that it would be so hidden. Then again, I'm sure its soemthing I'm not understanding.

Also - completely dumb question: how do I find the version number within the app?

          Thanks for all the help!

Try CD Ripper >> Options >> click Submit next to the Send Results to Online database, does the submission page show?

Yes - I looked at that already, and it did permit me to submit the results. Does that indicate its set properly?

              Thanks again for the help!

Ok looking further down the Options Page, where it says 'Sample Offset' what is shown next to it?

                  Re: AccurateRip Config

Sorry to be so late on replying to this - I've been away for about a week.

Yes - I do get a reading on the Options page next to the Sample Offset. It currently says +6.

I'm sure that this drive has never been through the calibration step, because I never saw that window. So I don't know how that offset number appeared there. Does it just identify the drive type and if known, enters a number, without an actual test?

It would have passed the offset calibration for that number to fill in, either in dbpoweramp or eac.
