    First Track Inaccurate

I have ripped about 100 CD's over the past week or so and on about 30% of them I get a X and "inaccurate" rip on the first track. If I then select that track only, set it to overwrite and re-rip - it does so and comes up as accurate? I have set it for secure ripping with C2 pointers that I checked with a test CD as per the excellent insturctions. My drive is a HLDS GSA-H73N DVD±RW and I am using Windows XP Pro 64.

It is a great product and re-ripping the first track is not a great hardship but I wondered if it is indicative of something and I can sort it by changing any settings?

Has anyone experienced similar issues or have an answer?

    Many thanks

Perhaps the drive needs the spin up option set?
